We have currently filled all of our summer positions but please keep us in mind for next year. Below is a run down of the type of staff we are looking for as well as possible duties you would be expected do to.
Cassiar Mountain Jade store is looking for seasonal employees to work in Jade City.Cassiar Mountain Jade Store is located on the Stewart-Cassiar Highway, highway 37 in Northern B.C. If you love to be in the outdoors and in remote locations, this is the place for you!
We are looking for staff who are:
-comfortable giving every customer the best customer service they will ever receive
-being in a remote environment-dealing with a large amount of traffic each day
-able to work inside and outside in ALL conditions
-3 weeks on 1 week off, preferred but negotiable.
-can work 8-10 hours a day
Jade City runs on generators that run from 7am-11pm, there is no power after these hours.We provide FREE room and board and the wage is $2500/month.
Staff will be expected to help cook and clean because it is all communal living space. You can bring your own camper for a more private area.
We are looking to fill a number of positions, for jade sales and jade cutters, artists and entertainers. Duties will include but are not limited to:
-talking to customers about jade and the mining process
-sales-working with jade
-creating new jade items-cutting, polishing
-gardening-cleaning in and around the store, RV park, kitchen and bunk house.
Training is provided, but a knowledge of point of sale systems and experience in the service industry would be helpful. A vehicle would be an asset because the closest settlement is 116km away.
